It's raining... raining down on me...
Jul. 22nd, 2023 09:24 amWell, not really on me because I'm indoors. But I had hoped to finally plant out my new shrubs today :( Mother and stepfather are also due to visit, armed with some ferns to go along the fence next to the steps.
Currently waiting for the shopping to be delivered.
I managed a full three days in the office. How did I ever cope with FIVE?! But they were productive.
Found out the struggles one of the PMs is having with just about the whole project team. Between the BAs, devs (two varieties) and testers, there's just a lack of communication - and they're having daily stand-ups! By the sounds of it, part of the problem is one of the devs is over-ambitious and needs reining in a bit - just remember KISS... Well, it's a learning opportunity for all of us.
At graduation last week I tried to encourage one of the testers (not involved in the above project) to use me for coaching. The beauty of coaching is that I don't need to know a single thing about your problem - my job is to help you find the answer. I don't think they were convinced. But I was thinking that if the PM talked to me a bit more, I could have also put my skills to use there.
It is the one skill set I have that I feel is completely underused :(
Got around to reading up on Joseph and their Amazing Princess Dress. It's really fascinating. I'm so looking forward to 20 August when I'll be able to share it at church. Joseph and the queer Biblical princess dress (qspirit.net)
