Don't know why but it's been a VERY long week. Feels like it should have been Friday two days ago - but that would make it Monday tomorrow and I'm definitely not ready for another week!

...er...

Where was I?

It was a beautiful autumn morning today - clear blue sky with a snap in the air. My favourite.

Not much in the way of meetings, so I managed to get some actual work done. I updated the dashboard and finished off the fallout from the prioritisation meeting the other day.

Productive Rosa is productive!

Finished off the day with a couple of episodes of Nobody Wants This. In some ways, a typical romsitcom - in some ways not. But it's Kristen Bell and I'll watch just about anything she's in.

Got my tenth character chart done. I'm on a roll.

Got in to the office for a couple of days this week, but husband didn't do particularly well on those days. Next week, between appointments and final prep for the funeral, it's just going to be easier to stay at home.

Looking forward to a quiet weekend.

Not sure why, but it has been a really long week.  But now it's Saturday!

And the sun is shining!

I am so grateful for my WFH days - it feels like the weekend gets stretched a bit, even though I am (of course!) working.

Went to get my hair cut on Wednesday but the hair dresser wasn't there.  They're OK, they were just 'off' but didn't tell me.  To be fair, I don't think it's the sort of place that normally bothers with appointments, so it probably wasn't written down anywhere.  Anyway, it's rescheduled for next week.

Finally did my ITIL exam and passed - just.  But that's with no real revision and barely any memory of the training.  I've done enough of this type of exam to know how it works.  The REAL test is - can we actually apply it?  Which I have a meeting with my team to discuss in a couple of weeks.  My line manager and I met with the person in the department with overall responsibility for making it work and it turned into a bit of a therapy session while they bewailed the lack of senior buy-in.  Some of our senior colleagues have been around a LONG time and just don't see the value in documentation and planning - so why should their staff?  So, I feel the pain and want to be supportive - and I think there's stuff we can do in the project space that will move SOME of us in the right direction.  But the main battle is most certainly not mine to fight.

So, LFC are 50% of the way to the 'quadruple'.  This weekend may see the third trophy captured.  If Liverpool win and City don't (ie, draw or lose), we win the Prem.  In any other scenario, City win.  The fun thing (for us, anyway!) is that City are playing Villa, currently managed by former Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard, who never won the Premier League in his time as a Red - but now he could win the league for Liverpool.  It's my son's dream scenario :D

And would give us something cheerful as the world spirals into the abyss...  I lived through the '80s - I do NOT want to go back there!
