An entire week off work is coming to an end and... I'm not really sure what happened!  I just know it was busy.

Saturday I went shopping for picnic stuff for Sunday, then hid upstairs whilst the boys watched the Champions League Final - which Liverpool lost :(  The response was muted rather than despairing.  Then the daughter's fiance picked the grandson up so that he could go to the homecoming with his mates the next day.

Sunday, husband, son and I headed down to the Dock Road to find a good spec for watching the homecoming.  We wandered about for a bit because it was still early (late morning/midday - the parade wasn't expected until mid evening...) but then found a good spot and just stayed there.  The crowds built up through the afternoon and there was singing and jumping around.  We believe the grandson and his mates weren't far away but we didn't spot them.  Then the parade arrived and LOTS of people let off flares (when did that become a Thing here?!), so we couldn't actually see the players.  I got lots of pictures of red smoke *facepalm*  But the day was agreed to be a success, on the whole.

Monday I did absolutely sweet FA - which means I DID play HFW :D

Tuesday did a bit of shopping and bank stuff.

Wednesday, husband and I went for a medium length walk (a couple of hours) taking the left-overs from Sunday with us.  Then I cleaned the bathroom in the afternoon.

Thursday was the living room and hall, Friday the kitchen and garden.  I like to space things out :D

I also watched the whole series of 'The Lincoln Lawyer', which threw so many curve balls at me!  I try not to guess 'whodunnit' because I'm usually very, VERY wrong.  I prefer to be carried along by the story and let the surprises hit me with full force.  Neve Campbell is still so beautiful (I have 'Wild Things' waiting to be watched - might get to that today...).  Anyway, if you're looking for some great drama, I recommend it.

I'm also reading Richard Osman's 'The Thursday Murder Club', which took me a little while to get in to, but which I am now enjoying.  Again, I'm just letting the story unfold and not trying to 'solve' anything.  However much Osman is dropping breadcrumbs!

Today is for chilling and tomorrow is for church and shopping, then it's back to work on Monday - and it's going to be a busy one, so I'm determined to enjoy my weekend before being launched back into the fray!

What a lovely way to spend a week off! Sorry about the smoke meaning you didn't get pictures, though :(
