So I'm getting a change in line manager - but at least this one falls into the Very Logical bucket! They've been at the university for just over a year, but their experience in all things project management is greater than just about everyone else I've ever worked with combined. And they don't just list risks and issues, they actually MANAGE them :O Who knew you could do that?! ROFL
Anyway, they'll be line manager #14 in just over 20 years. My daughter informed me that she's already had 6 in less than 2 with the Civil Service, so maybe it isn't such a high number after all :D
We ended up going to the husband's half-sister's funeral yesterday, which was definitely one of the better ones. It actually honoured the life of the person! Again, who knew that was a thing?! We caught up with members of the family we haven't seen since our niece's funeral 3 years ago. Yes, we're becoming one of those families...
Then we visited Anfield, which was just across the park from the crematorium, and which the husband hasn't seen since it was redeveloped. The daughter and I needed to go to the toilet, so we visited the cafe in the club shop for a snack - that cost £20! But it was good to sit together as a foursome - it's a while since that happened. And the daughter was able to pick up some Christmas presents :D
And I'm sort of poking and Nano - using my writing time to plan out the novel that I was thinking of writing but didn't have time to plan before November started :D
The tooth that my dentist insisted on refilling is giving me gyp, which it wasn't before he interfered with it! It's OK during the day but is waking me up at night. Paracetamol is calming it down, but it really needs looking at again. But I don't have any time to get it done!
Oh, and the new cooker arrives today.
Bye for now, DW!
