Where did that week go?!

It's been a week? Really?! Who knew time spent eating and chatting and watching telly could go so quickly?
Er...
That's really all I've done for the past week. A tiny bit of gaming...
I finished watching 'iZombie' and I approve of the ending - although I did feel a bit sorry for Don E. And the leader of the Dead Enders could have been more empathetic - that was one of the reasons Chase Graves worked for me as an antagonist, because I could see the conflict he faced in every decision - Dolly was just nasty and bitter without any real explanation of how she got there. By the end, there were so many threads and plot lines that I gave up trying to remember who had done what and who was working with whom, but I think it all worked out with no loose ends. But the good ended happily and the bad ended unhappily, which is what fiction means, after all!
I'm also half way through 'The Witcher' and, on the whole, I'm enjoying it. The jumping around the timeline makes my head spin a bit but I'm keeping track of everything. I am really confused about who Ciri's father is, though. I looked him up on the Wiki and the person it named also married her...?
Anyway, today is going to be a chilled day - with more food and chat and telly and, perhaps, game. This week has been for unwinding and putting the year behind me and into perspective. Next week is my real break, and will, therefore, include housework!
See you in the New Year!
