Old Uncle Tom Cobley and all!
Mar. 12th, 2026 09:40 pmThis time last year I was getting a good hair cut, not getting Husband to an appointment, prepping for future meetings, making a nice tea, clearing out another cupboard, and making progress with GoW:R.
Today was another early start because Husband had an appointment with the heart nurse. That went really well. They said he doesn't need the spironolactone because his heart has recovered enough, and we can drop the bumetanide from 2 tablets to 1 with a view to cutting them out completely - but to keep it on his prescription just in case. He also had a blood test to check his renal function. There was a really long queue, so we were waiting for at least 20 minutes - and then it was all done in about a minute!
It was a really windy day, so we were both really glad to get inside. On Hope Street, Husband said, 'at least we missed the rain' - as soon as we got home, it started raining!
After dinner, I played some Granblue Fantasy. The story is getting more interesting - and it's also short. I'm expecting to finish it over the weekend.
This afternoon I said to Husband, 'I'm not doing ANYTHING tomorrow!'. Then Daughter texted to say she was bringing the kidlings down. And then Mother rang to ask if they could come down tomorrow or Saturday. Well, my quiet Friday is already gone, so come tomorrow. I'm going to do my cleaning tomorrow and have a quiet Saturday instead. Fingers crossed...
We watched the penultimate episode of Traitors: Ireland and another episode of Handcuffed. And now I'm watching the next Tom Baker story.
