This time last year I was preparing for Sunday, starting my Lent activity, making progress with GoW:R and loving Kratos petting his wolves, meeting a colleague for coffee roulette, getting project board minutes done, and sorting out a Power BI report.

Today started with me disentangling books three and four of KTTK. It feels like I made real progress.

I ran up to the pharmacy for Husband's prescription, then got started on some work. A real mishmash of stuff, including helping the PMs with stuff they need for the audit. I got my 1:1 - I had an agenda but it was only three things, so I didn't bother sharing the screen. We've made a decision on a particular third-party - now we need to manage the fallout.

LM is happy with my project proposal. Thinking about it, there's probably a better way of doing it, but this is just a proposal. It's setting the scene for my organisation, my role, and showing that I know about digital tools and GenAI. And I'm not going to touch it again until I'm back at work. I'll have two full days to work on it - in between 'real' work. I also told LM about my little process for generating the summaries for the PSRs, and that I want to share it with the PMs for them to do in future. They thought that was a good idea and suggested my role would then be to summarise the summaries - which, yeah, definitely. I would need somewhere to put that, though.

Later in the day, I listened to a LinkedIn course about AI agents, whilst squaring away some other work. What I did catch piqued my interest and I wondered if that might be a good route for the DevOps/spreadsheet thing one of the PMs has me working on? I've put it in my calendar for when I'm back at work so I can investigate it properly.

I skimmed through the Blue Light report from House of PMO and gave myself a couple more tasks for when I'm back at work - a strategy and a proper benefits process. These are the value-added things AI should give me the time for.

Next was a project board and a set of minutes that seemed to take ages, even with Copilot's help. It's having to faff around with the Word template. Very much looking forward to the day when all meeting notes go into OneNote. Which reminds me - I also wanted to look at keeping the meeting recordings as they have all the slides and screen-shares in.

And I had a brainwave regarding the new project request we got in. I was sure we already had something that would do what they wanted - turns out we have more than one! But they do different things. I took the advice of colleagues and pointed the requester in the direction of someone who can help - and gave that person a heads up. Outcome - we can close down the request and there's no need to purchase and implement a new system. There's a reason I look after the EA around here!

At tea time, Husband asked for what I was going to suggest! There's a first time for everything :D

After tea I made some progress with TTPII - I'm on the last tower, which means the end game can't be far off. There are some VERY annoying fans everywhere in this level. My brain is pondering how I get past them.

I've just watched the first episode of His & Hers and I'm hoping it's not going to end up where it seems to be heading. I mean - it's too obvious, right? It's only 6 episodes, so not too much of a commitment.

And my week off has now begun!

Yay for progress! (I have your previous synopses open in a tab, I just haven't got to them quite yet. It has been, well, a whole Time.)
