rosa_heartlilyI'm in the office tomorrow, so I'm making the son's birthday cake tonight! Standard 4oz mix doubled up - one batch orange, the other chocolate, then marble them. My cakes and roast dinners always go down well. And it really does help to have the butter soft before you start.
This time last year, I had just finished Lord Jim and was looking forward to What Katy Did - which I still haven't read! I was also reading Always Coming Home - which I'm still working my way through. And I'm reading Mansfield Park again! I think I'll go for Katy when I finish the read through of JA books; I only have Northanger Abbey and Persuasion to go. I did manage a chapter of Miracles last night, though.
I did the second lot of Safeguarding Training today, but forgot to click the 'finish' button - doh! I can just click through it and answer the questions at some point tomorrow.
The husband's replacement CGM sensor arrived today in a box that would have held ten! But the whole thing is recyclable, including the padding.
Two big meetings and two lots of minutes done today. And the boss asked me to do a bit of research into the differences between Copilot and Decisions. The former interacts with all MS products but the latter is only for meetings - and doesn't even seem to produce any minutes at the end, just actions and decisions, so I don't think it would be much use to me. I'm waiting to be invited to a demo on the latter but it doesn't look like a good choice at the moment.
And that's about all for today.
