Ups and downs
Apr. 6th, 2025 09:43 pmThis time last year we were enjoying younger grandson's love of chocolate biscuits, I was getting annoyed that only Ghislaine Maxwell has received any punishment, and playing FFXVI DLC.
Today's reading was Mary anointing Jesus' feet with perfume. We discussed the smells we love (little wafts of grandbabies on my clothes when they've gone home), and someone suggested the nard was in the house because they had planned to use it on Lazarus but hadn't needed to. I also talked about my own costly outpouring of love over the last 30 months or so - but it occurred to me that husband's trust in me to look after him is a form of reciprocation.
I got the flower seeds sown! I did give the ground a bit of a rake and broke up some of the larger clumps, but a fine tilth it was not :D But they are wildflowers - they need to be able to grow anywhere. I also gave them a good water and put some of the spiky branches over them to deter the birds. There's a little path at one side, though, so younger grandson can run up and down to 'hide' behind the bushes. I also put out some bird food. I'm not sure if the birds will see it as an invitation to also eat the wildflower seeds, or be distracted enough to leave them alone. We shall see...
Liverpool managed to lose. Doh! They are still 11 points ahead of the second team, and the game was away against a pretty good team. But they really need to keep the pedal to the metal.
And I'm 41% and 21 hours through Forspoken. This afternoon I moved in the general direction of the story marker whilst visiting lots of PoI, and this evening I progressed to the next area. And some points of interest, of course. I now have another two familiars. One is green and blue with little ram horns. The other is all black with a unicorn horn and little silver anklets. I think of her as Boris, regardless of her actual name <3 They all have very cute little back stories.
