Well, that was different
Apr. 1st, 2025 09:41 pmA year ago, I was too tired to enjoy my final day of rest :D, but I continued to enjoy FFXVI and had time to muse on the female disciples.
Today, I managed to get downstairs a bit earlier than usual but still left the house at the same time - not sure why.
When I got to the office, one of my display screens refused to come on, so I raised a Helpdesk ticket - and was asked for my office location. I'm just round the corner from YOU. Do you not know who I am?! Everyone knows me... don't they...? I'm guessing it was one of the newer members of staff. I mean, there are quite a few people who've joined the department since lockdown that I don't know. But being one of the women in a male-dominated department usually means everyone knows you. Anyway, the screen then burst spontaneously into life and made a liar of me, so I cancelled the ticket *sigh*
Today wasn't quite as manic as yesterday, but I still haven't got through all my emails from last week. I may spend some time on that in the morning. Tomorrow looks like a much quieter day, though, so I should make some progress.
No 'clean a corner' tonight because the boys and I were playing '221B Baker St' - a Sherlock Holmes-themed Cluedo, basically. The aim is to guess the solution with the fewest number of clues but you'd have to strike really lucky to get the right ones. We chose to play collaboratively rather than competitively, which made it much more fun. I bought it with the gift card the son gave me for Mother's Day - and also bought chocolate turtles for the boys and vegan truffles for me.
It also meant no Forspoken but Liverpool play tomorrow, so that should be an opportunity!
