We have begun!
Mar. 9th, 2025 09:46 pmLast year I was trying to get into the garden to start digging up the weeds, pondering a talk at church, enjoying FFXVI and watching films.
Today *drum roll, please!* finally made a start on the garden ROFL. Only took a year... I am always encouraged by the number of worms I dig up - big fat ones, too. A couple may have ended up in the compost bin with the weeds, but they won't come to any harm in there. I only managed a strip but it's a start. I think I was out there in the sun a bit too long, though - I've had a headache ever since. A good night's sleep will help.
My talk went well, I think, and we included time for discussion after what we said at the vision day, yesterday. It really is one of the things that makes us US. I also got to serve the communion wine, which I've done a few times. Most people take the cup, or dip their bread in it (being careful not to dip their fingers!) but one person wanted me to tip the cup for them, which was really awkward for us both - different traditions, I suppose.
I never vote in Dancing on Ice, so I really can't complain about the winner - but the other person's Bolero was sooo much more creative. Still, they were a really strong group this year, and anyone in the last five or six would have been a worthy winner.
And I played quite a bit of Ragnarok. I've done more than 30 hours and I'm about 60% of the way through. Atreus has come home! Some lovely interactions between him and Kratos. Of course, Kratos doesn't do emotions, so it must be my imagination that he was crying at one point and smiling at another... And we have a ginormous puppy! He isn't Torgal, but he's still adorable. My chat buddy was right that Atreus didn't know what he was doing - but then he did, when he and Kratos worked together. I am looking forward to seeing what happens next.
An office day tomorrow, and a decision to make about which cupboard I tackle next...
