One quest down - two more appear!
Jan. 20th, 2025 09:17 pmEnd-game sidequests are like the Hydra :D I got to play some Veilguard tonight because the boys are watching football. I completed the story arc for one of my companions - bittersweet is probably the best description for my feelings at the end. The companion got some VERY funky golden armour out of it. But I had to make the decision on what to do with the Secret Thing, of course. I went with the open/trusting option because that's who I am and that's who this Rook is. And one of the companions has been doing nice things for one of the others and now they're a couple <3 It's not Tidus/Yuna level cute, of course, but it did bring a tear to my eye.
This time last year, I was considering heading for the end game in Sea of Stars v checking out a sidequest, doing some sorting out in my bedroom, pondering the historical accuracy of Doctor Who, deciding AGAINST spending RL cash on myself, and enjoying The Traitors. We maxed out all the different series of The Traitors from around the world and I definitely had Traitor-fatigue sometime around the middle of last year! But I'm quite enjoying the latest series.
Today, husband and I braved the weather to get his blood test done. We avoided the rain and it wasn't really all that cold in the end - just grey and miserable looking. I got to see the new solar panels for the first time on the way home - I usually use the back door. We had an early dinner and then I poked at some work, and managed to get all the things done I wanted to do. AND a project board was cancelled, which is always a Good Thing.
I also watched Rex Sterling make his way through the Calm Lands and Mount Gagazet - the music in both areas is sooo good. Then he bounced of the Seymour battle :D That fight can so easily be over before you realise it's even begun! Chat buddy sent me a video of one of the hololive girls playing the Jecht battle and being confused when the battle music kept going when she thought she'd killed him (another great tune, btw).
I have no words for the irony of Trump being inaugurated on MLK Day.
Tomorrow is an office day - yay...
