Well, my 3 week break is now up.  Still a couple of cleaning jobs - windows and oven - to accomplish over the weekend but it's back to work on Monday.

Not really much to report...

I've finished the current series of Star Trek: Discovery.  It feels like it's finally decided it IS a ST series after all and wants to embrace that.  I'm looking forward to the next series more than I was to this one, anyway.

And I've started watching Marvel's Runaways.  As a non-comic/superheroes fan, I watch quite a lot of comic/superhero-based programmes :D  I'm only one episode in, but I'm interested if not quite hooked, yet.  Biggest plus is that the gender split is 4:2 F:M, which I don't think I've seen in any other IP.

I've started capturing mini reviews of the books, programmes, films and games I engage with this year.  We'll see how long I keep it up!

I'm re-reading Uncle Tom's Cabin, which didn't seem to make much of an impression on me the first time.  At least, I've never recalled any specifics about it, just a vague feeling of dissatisfaction.  Which, in re-reading, I don't understand because I'm really enjoying it, particularly the narrator's voice.  And the phrase 'delicious shade' apparently comes from UTC, not a Jane Austen, so that's a mystery solved.

I didn't manage to get to bed by 10pm all week, but I do still seem to be sleeping 7.5-8 hours, so I'm sure I can be up at 6am IF I get to bed early enough.

I'm seriously debating the wisdom of filling in any more job applications.  It takes so much time and mental energy that I could be putting into my fiction.  Maybe do the 'new' job for 6-12 months...?  Dunno...

Ummm...  Really, that's it.  Next Saturday, my 'baby' turns 30.  I'm officially old.
