A very lazy week
Jan. 2nd, 2021 09:23 amAs the middle week of my 3 week break, this was always going to be my lazy week. I've kept up with things like my (very brief) Qi Gong stretches in the morning, and two contemplative prayer sessions, but haven't demanded much else of myself. Having said that, I did manage to publish story #51 of 70x700 and clean the bin in the kitchen.
I don't go in for New Year Resolutions because they're just asking to be broken, but I do go in for Intentions. Cleaning that bin more than twice a year is at the top of the list! And right behind it is checking the 'caring@' email account every day because I might have missed someone in real distress through my careLESSness - I didn't but I still feel guilty about it. And knocking out 2 stories a month for 70x700 is also on the list. Otherwise, it's just keeping up with my small but regular habits - stretches, CP, 30 mins exercise, 'holy' reading, Examen, skin care routine (including 3l of water a day), weekly DW and Tarot.
Next week will be about steering myself back into some of those habits (like the exercise), in particular aiming for a 10pm bedtime to enable a 6am waking up time. And going through the whole house to give it a 'proper' clean, starting with taking down the Christmas decorations and mopping the living room floor, either today or tomorrow. I don't normally do cleaning on a Sunday but after a week of doing sweet FA, it may be time to stretch that rule!
I'm also getting to grips with my new journal which SHOULD last the whole year.
