Inevitably, this week off work has involved cleaning - including the oven (yuk!) and windows. Today I'm doing some shopping (nothing fun, just householdy stuff) and getting my hair cut. Tomorrow is my 'do nothing' day. Strangely, Fridays don't usually work very well for that but hey, that's the way it's worked out this time.
I have been playing the heck out of 'Dust: an Elysian Tail', which I continue to enjoy. The platforming elements, of course, sometimes drive me to distraction, but mostly it's fun and fairly painless. Dust has just had some Important Information about his origins, which I found Interesting. I also spent a bit of time yesterday clearing out some sidequests, now that I have All The Abilities (at least, I think I do). Combat CAN include interesting things like dash kills and combos - my usual approach is to mash the square button and, occasionally, make use of Fidget's magic-throwing thing. It's ugly, but effective! Now, I'm heading to the final showdown. I think I'll be quite sad when this one is over.
My gamer colleague has offered to lend me 'Detroit: Becoming Human' (the advantages of having games in hard copy!). While I'm waiting for him to finish it himself, I have some options. I still want to get the Platinum Trophy for NNK2, so I could tackle the grinding that will be required for that. I also want to replay FFXV with all the new stuff that's supposed to have been added since I last played. FFXII is also calling, but I want to give that plenty of space and time.
I haven't done any writing but I will get back to editing Mannerley next week.
I have also been slightly binging (2 or 3 episodes a day, mostly spread out over the day) on Sense8. I really enjoy the characters and their interactions with each other and the air of Mystery And Intrigue. Again, I'll be sad when it's finished. No idea what to watch next, although iZombie has been recommended.
