Crossed wires...?

A year ago I was swanning around the Cathedral in a random PhD gown, doing some washing, editing, and watching Psych with William Shatner.
Today I skipped Graduation because I was waiting for a call from the GP. The GP we spoke to last week said to try one of the water tablets for 2 weeks and add the other if there was no difference, I'm sure they did. But the one today said they thought the other one had meant husband to take both... I'm confused... It doesn't help that we speak to a different person every time! Anyway, he's now on two water tablets and he's seen a difference in terms of using the toilet! We wait to see if it helps with his feet and breathing... Oh, and today's doctor said I was very organised, which was nice. Thing is, if I wasn't organised, all our lives would quickly go to pot!
After that, we got out for some fresh air. I collected husband's prescription and blood form (for next week), then we went to the cute little chippy by the uni. They're open during the day on weekdays but don't open at tea time or weekends because most of their custom comes from the uni, and some from the hospital, which isn't far away. But there aren't really any houses round there, so there's no need to worry about 'locals'. Husband keeps getting the idea they only open during term time... He knows UoL staff work all year round just like I do, but every so often he brings it up again. *sigh*
I poked at a bit of work and then had a series of short meetings this afternoon. Husband and I were still stuffed from our dinner, so we had very light teas.
When I came downstairs, son was watching Scum. The only time I've chosen to watch it was when I was on exchange in France and it was the only thing on the telly in English. Everyone else went to bed and left me to it. It's a powerful film but not an easy watch. When it ended, I realised he was watching it on YT, so I mentioned that There's Only One Jimmy Grimble was on there, too, so we watched that. Banging sound track! The story isn't deep or meaningful but there's nothing wrong with telling a familiar tale as long as you tell it well - and it's got an amazing cast, too. Ray Winstone is in both.
Daughter posted the grandbabies nursery photos on fb. Granddaughter looks less than happy in her pics, and she's usually the one playing up to the camera. Younger Grandson, on the other hand, is thoroughly enjoying posing like a little super model :D Apparently GD was really upset by the whole thing until YG arrived, when she calmed down. I suppose a professional camera and lighting rig is a bit different to cuddling up with mummy and getting snapped by her phone.
I also keep forgetting she's still under 1 - in my head, she and YG are the same age, somehow...
Over the course of the day I watched a YT video about 'lost cities' (which the locals knew all about), and one about fast food in Medieval times, which both gave me some ideas. And yesterday I watched Gamerdove's videos about fashion in FFVIII, which also made me think about costuming my characters. So many ideas, so little coherence...
And I finished the day with a couple of episodes of the Doctor Who story The Inferno, which feels like it influenced the alternate universe stories in ST:DS9.
