It's time to start setting goals, I think

I'm (mostly) taking a break from writing this month but I don't want to neglect DW in the process. So, I'm going to set a mini goal of updating before the end of the day at work. We'll see how that goes.
Yesterday was the 'Christmas do' at work, which followed the same pattern as last year. Tiny bit of work (including a poll thingy that required me, my line manager and our team boss to fight with my VERY cheap VERY slow phone in order to get it to play), fun quiz (with some VERY hard questions), nice food, drink in a local pub. The quiz included taking two people's faces and joining them together into a new face - some VERY funny results.
It was a VERY kind of afternoon!
When I got home I realised that I'd left my Surface in work, which means I won't have it for the 8.30am and 9.30am meetings I have in another building on Monday morning. I'm an idiot. I will now have to get to the building the meetings are in by 8.15am at latest in order to print stuff out. As I said, I'm an idiot.
I'm watching a lot of Voyager because I'm focussing on knitting my mother's birthday scarf. If it turns out I don't have enough yarn, I'm going to admit defeat and buy one from the Tibetan/Himalayan shop in town. But I'm not quite ready to admit defeat yet. And it is getting me through Voyager.
ST:V is a mixed bag for me. I love the characters and some of the stories are really interesting. But they also have too many 'alternate universe' type stories.
OK, that's enough for now. Bye DW!
