A good day, finally!

This time last year it was raining, I was getting ready to vote and looking forward to seeing my favourite colleague.
Today, I somehow thought getting up 30 minutes later than yesterday would get me to the hospital earlier... Exhausted brain is exhausted... Last night, I managed the other half of the Prince Caspian chapter I abandoned the night before, but couldn't make any progress with The Constant Gardener. But I slept solidly again.
Anyway, I managed to get to the hospital on time. The main purpose for getting there early is to make sure I see the consultant. They explained all the ways husband is doing well, then asked if there were any questions. Husband shook his head, but I asked, 'What do we need to do to get him home by Monday?'. 'Why? What's happening on Monday?'. 'The homecoming...'. Blank stare from the doctor. 'For Liverpool. For winning the League...'. 'Oh, right! My other half wants to go...'. *facepalm*
But the answer to my question was that they expect him to be able to come home tomorrow! This made us both very happy. At some point in the afternoon I remembered that our son had told me Tottenham beat United in the Europa League final, which made husband even happier.
I managed to get some work done, nothing too strenuous.
Then I came home and watched a full Doctor Who story - The Krotons, which is only 4 episodes. And now it's time for bed!
