rosa_heartlilyThis time last year we had thunder but no real rain, an emergency shopping trip, a mixed bag of Doctor Who, frustrations with Zau, and videos of Younger Grandson walking.
Today's writing prompt was something to do with wishes for the future, so I had my three female characters discussing it around a camp fire. I did actual writing!
The day proper started with a blood test - the usual list of tests for rheumatology plus the extras from the GP. The nurse said GP tests should really go to the clinic but they'd do them because they know we're under the hospital. It's the first time we've 'crossed the streams' and it takes sooo long to get an appointment with the clinic. I suppose rules are rules... Anyway, it's all done, now.
On the way out, we bumped into husband's brother and his wife - he was coming in for some investigations into why he hasn't been well lately :(
In the afternoon, I left a voice mail with the Rheumatology nurses asking for a fresh supply of husband's meds. I then got a call from them to say he needs to suspend the meds for a while, so it's just as well he hasn't got any!
I also managed some work(!), prepping for a couple of project boards and cancelling another one. And working my way through all the emails I didn't delete while I was on leave. I did check my inbox now and again through the week, just to weed out things like meeting responses and LinkedIn messages.
The former Curate and I have settled on a new date - hopefully this one sticks! I knew they were being optimistic with 'before Easter' :D It'll actually be after Pentecost by the time we meet.
I discovered that today is the 80th anniversary of my paternal grandparents' wedding <3
And favourite colleague did not agree with my outpourings of joy over the latest Doctor Who episode :O I shall find out why on Wednesday...
