Friday is... a work day...?
Jul. 4th, 2025 09:52 pmA year ago I was hoping for a Labour win (hollow laugh), joining meetings on line and poking at other work stuff, and watching Psych.
Today I had Clue on in the background whilst I did some work. Utterly ridiculous but entertaining enough. It does feel weird to be working on a Friday, though, after two months of no Fridays. Thankfully, there are only 4 Fridays in July, and then I get 5 (count 'em FIVE!) Fridays off in August.
We had a call from the GP to check how husband is getting on with the inhalers. They're going to call again in a month or so.
Husband and I each rescued a tired bee. Go bees!
I improved chat buddy's cultural knowledge with some information on the formation of Everton and Liverpool, and why you don't call a resident of Liverpool a Liverpudlian. They've just done the bit where Jill gifts Shiva to Clive, and it reminded me that the residents of Eastpool refer to themselves as Eastpudlians, which made me chuckle on my first playthrough - but I'm not sure they've got to that point in the story. I remember the things that happen but I have no sense of the order they happen in, and I so don't want to spoil anything for them.
But that scene led to us talking about 'intimate' scenes in video games and how some are just so cringy - at least Jill and Clive's wasn't that.
Tonight I played some more ECHH. Thoughts:
- Hishahn reminds me of a city in Okami (possibly Sei'an)
- Love the water physics in the lake and the dust motes in sunbeams
- Lian - 'Wanna poke around?'; well, duh!
- Remember to look out for Sayid Ali
- 'upjumped'?
- A kitty called Zen is very... zen...
- Nice entrance, Carrie!
I did a tiny bit of levelling and waited until my healer was out of MP before staying at the inn - that place is PRICEY! Then I moved on to the next area and saved at the entrance. Exploring there will be tomorrow's adventure.
I finished the day with the first episode of Arcane: League of Legends, which is based on a video game I'd never heard of. And when I looked it up, it's not the sort of thing I'm likely to play. But the series looks interesting so far.
Now it's prayers and bed.
