Tired Rosa wanna sleep
Jul. 2nd, 2025 10:29 pmA year ago I was getting tetchy with husband's random questions (he does a GREAT line in random questions!), oversleeping, being impressed by someone speed running Tunic, and hoping Eldest Grandson had fun in Greece and came home safe (he did and did).
Today, I was able to get ready a bit more slowly, so that was good.
I'm rethinking Sweetheart and True King's relationship. What if they're siblings but raised in different households? Either their mothers both slept with King-in-Exile, or they're twins. And then Sweetheart isn't really the sweetheart because they know about their relationship (although it's supposed to be a secret...?). Incest is something I have zero interest in. But Sweetheart is the eldest and is the True Queen, but the mother(s) assumed KiE's heir would be the boy. And finding a way to bury all of that in sub-sub-text, so that the reader is genuinely surprised when it's all revealed. Probably not something I'd accomplish in the first draft...
I made progress with my Power BI reports. The Friendly Dev tweaked something in the background so now I can write the Countof queries I wanted. I'm going to go over them again tomorrow before publishing.
Tonight was PCC at the Rector's house. It's a great space and they live alone, so they're happy to open it to us - but it's such a trek. And the 90 minutes always turns into two hours, and then there's waiting for the person giving me a lift to leave, and, and... Thankfully, the next one isn't until September.
And now it's bedtime.
