My kingdom for some sensible shoes...

A year ago I was looking forward to a day off (but miffed that it meant leaving minutes over the weekend), making decisions about Tunic, editing, and watching stuff on YT.

Today, I got up fashionably late (it is a day off, after all), then headed up to Broadgreen for my mammogram. My appointment time was 12:09... weirdly specific :D It's not the most fun I've ever had on a Friday afternoon, but I'll take it over a smear any time.

After dinner, husband and I went for a walk. I kept my toe-post sandals on and walked slowly, but they still rubbed my toes :( This meant we didn't stay out as long as we might have - next time, I'll wear something better suited to a walk in hot weather.

I finished Clair Obscur. Being OP meant that the final battle wasn't a long drawn-out affair - but it was also rather unsatisfying. The end was definitely another emotional wringer. Yesterday when I was scrolling through fb I saw a cartoon, so I read it - and it contained a spoiler for COE33 :O Not only that - it was posted on the COE33 forum! WTF??? Seriously... The game is what, 2 months old? Stuff like that should surely wait for at least 6 months?! So, I had an inkling of the ending, which was... well, it took some of the joy out of it... Careless spoilers like that are Very Bad >(

I thought about trying the DLC for Sea of Stars, but the base game isn't on PS+ any more. A couple of the other games in my library are also no longer on PS+. So much for my backlog... Anyway, it's forced my hand, so I've moved on to Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes. Thoughts from my first play session:

• 3D backgrounds and 16-bit sprites
• I can get lost WITH a map >D
• 'Normal' and 'Hard' isn't much to choose from
• Can I move the camera or not...?
• Loving the dialogue - herb chicken to go, Garr on a picnic, Seign is so cynical, very much agree with Perrielle about the Dux
• Kitty! <3
• OK, OK, go to the Command Post first - I get it!
• Lens lore is interesting
• Lian is channelling Rikku, Mio is channelling Lulu
• The auto option in battle is very useful - a 6-member party is a lot to manage
• Looted equipment makes me happy
• The magic torch stays lit whilst I run
• I say Kenani, you say Qunari

Now I'm watching the end of War Games. Why did old Doctor Who always cast the least guard-looking actors to play guards? They still haven't worked out how to make sets that work properly for television. The Doctor is on trial for stealing a TARDIS because he was bored :D Of course, later we learn that the TARDIS stole him - or at least went willingly :D The Time Lords do behave like an Intergalactic Court of Justice.
