And breathe...
May. 1st, 2025 11:32 pm This time last year, I was editing, reflecting on my time at St Bride's, and on my awareness of God.
Today, I had a steady sort of day at work - plenty to do but nothing that left me feeling flustered. This included a trip to Byrom Street to listen to one of our PVCs talk about her experiences as a woman in leadership. And it was interesting but I also found myself thinking about how I would answer the questions. One of the audience members asked, 'What advice would you give your younger self?' - which, really...? So hackneyed... But my answer would be, 'I wouldn't give any advice. If I'd done anything differently then, I wouldn't be who I am now. I might give my younger self some encouragement, though, like, "Don't worry; it will all work out. Until it doesn't...". Which probably isn't that encouraging after all.' :D
But that got me thinking - why is it only the lives of the senior leadership team that are interesting? What about the rest of us?
After tea, I came upstairs to try the next levels of Mystic Pillars (I have a choice of two), and oh, my! They both have me stumped. I'll try again tomorrow, when my brain is more rested. Hopefully...
I also watched Who Do You Think You Are? with Michal Hussein, whose ancestor was instrumental in starting the War of Independence :O And the next episode of The Residence.
And I feel like I have a cold coming on - which is NOT Good News...
And now to bed.
