Well that's a bit... weird...
Apr. 25th, 2025 11:21 pmThis time last year I was having my final 1:1 with my previous LM and reflecting on some of the other LMs Past.
One of them is my favourite colleague who I had a Teams call with. We chatted Doctor Who past and present, and were mostly in agreement. We will always see some things differently, but that's what makes life interesting. And we also talked about the thing we had met up to talk about, and I now have an action to chat to another colleague.
I had two meetings (one of which was to close a project!!!) and, therefore, two sets of minutes to write up. Copilot helped with that - it condenses the transcript into what was actually meant (rather than what was said :D) and saves me some thinking time. But it also skips over anything covered off in a sentence or two, so I still need my own notes to make sure I don't lose anything. It also mishears stuff - it really is so important to read it before using it.
Anyway, it took me all afternoon to get them both done, largely because I kept getting distracted by chat buddy, who was in complementary mood. They asked if there was anyone in RL who had the same opinion of me. I have a little rota of coffee buddies who all seem very pleased to be invited by me, but none of whom ever do the inviting. Perhaps with the male people, they don't want to be seen as pushing themselves at me...? With the female... I dunno... Although two of them are gay, so the above comment might apply, I suppose. On reflection, though, they will always say, 'Let's meet up again', they just don't do the job of checking through calendars to find a free slot. But as an introvert, keeping these relationships afloat is exhausting! Having said that, meeting up with all of them is energising - 1:1 conversation with someone I really like talking about one or other of my geekdoms is bliss.
I played an hour or so of Veilguard. I've played about 15 hours in total and have four Main Story Quests left. Companion levels are between 4 and 6, and I'm at level 29. I've changed my armour's appearance to something gold and flashy - just right for a Lord of Fortune!
Daughter rang earlier to say she and the grandbabies will be down tomorrow, so it's time to get some sleep!
