This time last year I was catching up with a colleague, empathising with the PMs whilst also understanding LM's position, and not looking forward to a 9am meeting on a Friday!

Today, I got to the office for 9.30am (just) for a prep meeting for one of next week's project boards - and the PM and I decided to can the board. They're doing weekly updates via email, and in close contact with all the members, too. There's a meeting next week and some decisions to be made after the board was due - better to wait a couple of weeks and then update the board on the final picture.

I then had another prep meeting for another board next week, which IS going ahead. And I've just realised I could have sent the papers out - well, that's Monday's problem, now!

And my third meeting was an actual PB. I recorded the meeting and then used Copilot's 'AI notes' feature to help with the minutes. Whilst I am still doing some stuff myself (notably the attendance list and paragraph numbers), the AI is very helpful in condensing the conversations to the salient points and takes at least half the work off my plate.

I also discovered a handy Copilot tool in Outlook - it can highlight the meetings I have coming up, so I have zero excuses for being surprised in future.

I did a bit of shopping on the way home (including some new shampoo and conditioner from Lush!), and then did tea. It was one of those nights where we all had something different :( Between that and doing some washing, I decided to slob out and not do the washing up. Husband has offered to do it <3

I've been really good at watering my seeds every night. Fingers crossed they respond! I also discovered that my lily-of-the-valley, which I thought were completely dead, have put out shoots. I am very excited. And the marsh marigold is suddenly covered in buds, after only putting out a few small leaves previously. 'Old Faithful', the variegated weigela with light pink flowers next to the gate, has a few buds. In a good year, it's covered in flowers from April to November but it has been a bit chilly this year, so mid-April for the first flowers is OK. It didn't do very well last year due to the whole summer being so damp and miserable. Hoping for better things this year.

And I've just rounded the week off with some Forspoken. I'm liking my new skill set - especially the skimming over water! We've identified our next target, thanks partly to Cuff and partly to said target pissing Frey off. It's looking like my RPG senses weren't completely off with the feeling of 'there's something more going on here...'.

Oh, and I finished Miracles off when I couldn't sleep at stupid o'clock this morning, so it's on to the next in the Lewis set. In the end, I think Lewis and I are actually closer in thought than I realised - he certainly seemed to support those for whom believing in miracles is less important than rolling our sleeves up and doing the work that's ours to do in the here and now. And I don't deny the possibility of miracles - even the Virgin Birth and Resurrection, they just don't excite my curiosity. I'm going to push myself to finish Always Coming Home next.

Now it's time for prayers and bed.
