A wild day
Feb. 23rd, 2025 09:23 pm A year ago, I had a sore tooth and was enjoying Fenyx.
Today, I went to church and there were a couple of people there who haven't been with us in ages because they've moved on - but it was really good to see them. We were doing some thinking around 'Church: what's the point?', which, you know, is a great question :D In particular, we looked at some stats about the Parish, and thought about some of the changes we've seen - for me over 50 years, for others less than 10. Time really doesn't stand still, does it?
This afternoon, I played some more Ragnarok. Atreus was off adventuring on his own, making his own friends - and enemies! I want to fire the bow, I really do - but it's sooo much easier to just hit things... Even on Story Mode, I managed to get him killed; luckily I had a revival stone, and the opportunity to make another one soon after. The game is just so beautiful to look at. The combat is pretty smooth, when I remember all the buttons. I want to kill the ravens, just for being annoying!
I made Scouse for tea, using mutton for a change - but I think I'll go back to lamb, next time. It was very tasty, though, and we all cleaned our bowls; and I have left overs for dinner tomorrow. I also have two portions of yesterday's speg bol in the freezer.
The Dancing on Ice judges made the right choice. At this point, though, they're all so good, it's hard to see anyone leave.
And I've just watched the first episode of 'Miss Austen', a flight into the imagination rooted in fact. It's known that Jane's older sister Cassandra burned a lot of her letters, but not why. This series attempts to give an answer. Jessica Stevenson is always amazing. And the actor playing Rev Austen is one of the suspects in S3 of Unforgotten :D I decided against watching E5 of that because I knew I'd want to watch E6, too, and I need to sleep.
I did want to get into the garden today, but the weather was too wild and wet :( After yesterday was so nice, too.
LFC are now 11 points clear at the top of the table - let's hope they can stay there, this year!
