Why, thank you!
Feb. 16th, 2025 08:32 pmA year ago, I was mostly doing meeting-related stuff. Particularly cheesed off about people not giving timely feedback when I sent them draft minutes...
Today I led the service. There was someone there who is in the process of 'converting' (if that's the right word) to the Orthodox Church - apparently there's a whole involved process, but they seemed like the sort of person who would enjoy that. There was a reference to 'keeping the riff-raff out' - but to me the Church is FOR the riff-faff! We also talked about Jesus' instruction that his followers wash each others' feet, and how different the Church would look if we recognised that we are a) people who need their feet washed and b) that we can offer that service to one another.
I played some more GoW:R - it was the kind of session where 2 hours go by and you don't feel you've done much. But we have a new friend and a new area to explore.
Then I did a roast that didn't turn out quite the way I hoped - but husband has offered to do the washing up :)
It's getting to the 'business end' of Dancing on Ice. They're all really good this year and I don't have any real favourites.
And now I'm watching the next episode of S1 of Unforgotten. I remember the characters but not how they fit together, so it's almost like watching it for the first time. My brain mis-works like that, sometimes.
