I went with the 'stay at home where it's warm and dry and I can just potter all day' option. There was a time when there was a real danger of my church collapsing if I wasn't there - maybe not if I let people know I wasn't going to be there but they would have got anxious if I just didn't turn up - but thankfully those days are long past. Now I can choose how to spend my Sunday. After all, the Sabbath was made for humanity, not humanity for the Sabbath! And I've kept up with my daily prayers, so I'm still engaging with the Divine.

I finished Sea of Stars. I checked the Solstice Shrine thing and it looks like it leads to another secret boss, so I'm happy to leave it. And after the final battle, a new area opened up on the map but, again, I feel like my time with this game is done. Final thoughts... The story is pretty straightforward but none the worse for that, and with enough surprises along the way to keep it interesting. The characters are even more straightforward, with the two PCs growing in skill and knowledge but without any real arc. Combat is fun and the combos can pack a real punch, with different characters joining together to deliver it. I loved the music - definitely felt some FF vibes at various points - and the graphics are beautiful. And, contrary to my initial impression, there is actually quite a lot to do beyond fishing and cooking - I'm just not invested enough to keep going. My only real complaint is that it's so short - around 30 hours to complete the main game and a bit of side content. On the whole, a solid little game, though - probably a 7/10 for me.

Not sure what's next but it'll probably be a couple of days before I need to decide.

Dancing on Ice is on again and I'm watching because I love ice skating AND watching 'celebrities' learning something without humiliating themselves or tormenting animals. However, Stephen Mulhern I can well do without and Christopher Dean is becoming more and more a caricature of himself. And why is it when they talk to the judges they hardly ever start with Jayne Torvill and even miss her out completely?! Eddie 'The Eagle' Edwards is something of a revelation, though; looking forward to more from him!

I watched the first episode of a new series - After the Flood. I was intrigued until about 3/4 of the way through when the MC did The Thing That They Shouldn't Do That Will Lead To Trouble. I get really annoyed with stuff like that. Someone does The Thing That... (you get the message) and then wonders why their life gets so messy and complicated. I decided to watch the end of the episode and then to not watch any more - but then something piqued my interest at the end. So, the MC's life is going to get messy and complicated for reasons that could have been avoided, but she is also going to solve a mystery. Oh, and she also lied to her husband about how far along her pregnancy is and then complained when he got upset about her lying to him - because of course he should just accept it <_< So, maybe she'll learn some stuff about herself along the way, too. I'll give it another episode, anyway.

And Liverpool FC won against Bournemouth, putting them 5 points clear at the top of the League Table, so my boys are happy tonight!

Early start tomorrow as we have a divisional thing at work.
