Days in the sun

So, Monday was our actual anniversary and we got out for lunch and a walk along the river.  Nothing grand or expensive - just some nice time together.

Sunday evening, we had the family over and got a take away from our new place.  Everything came except my chicken in black bean source (to add insult to injury, they DID send the fried rice - :D )  As host, I was glad everyone else got their food.  As one of the main celebrants, I was a tad miffed.  My step-father said he was miffed for me - whilst tucking into his mixed meat chow mein <_<  Anyway, there was still plenty to eat and it was an order for 8 people.

Then a busy four days at work, not helped by me having difficulty sleeping in the heat; Thursday night in particular was horrible and I gave up and watched a couple of episodes of Lucifer!  But then I was sooo tired all day yesterday.  Luckily, I had one meeting in the morning and it was one of my WFH days so not too tiring.

I rewatched The Duchess last night.  The privilege yet absolute subjugation of women of her class comes across so well.

And that was last week!
