Down time, how I love thee!
Feb. 26th, 2022 08:52 amI had two days off this week and they were blissful. Feeling energised for next week, now.
The daughter and her fiancé went to York for the weekend (it's her birthday on Monday) - hoping they'll pop in either tomorrow or Monday to tell us how it went.
And we seem to be heading for WWIII...
I finished watching 'The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window' - I was NOT expecting it to turn out the way it did. And it seemed to end on a cliff-hanger, so I'm expecting a second series. But the whole thing had a sense of unreality to it - not just because the programme itself is fictional, more like it's a retelling of a novel or a dream or something. I'm not explaining it very well, and it might just be me, but it definitely gave me some good-weird vibes.
And I'm rewatching 'Dempsey & Makepeace', a police show from the 80's. 'Real' telephones (with dials!), Makepeace power-dressing in suits and ties, very ugly cars - oh, and far-fetched plotlines. It's got them all!
Really don't have much else to report this week. See you next Saturday!
