Gotta love a three day week

I had Thursday and Friday booked as leave this week.  I did nothing more productive than a bit of gaming - not even a LOT of gaming - but that's OK.  It was nice to just chill for a couple of days.  It's a measure of how much I unwound that I can't really remember much about Monday - Wednesday - and I'm really not interested in trying.

Normally when I have a couple of days off I get ahead for the weekend by doing my cleaning jobs, maybe some washing, but this time I just thought 'fuck it'.  That means that I have a busy day ahead but I REALLY enjoyed my relaxed days.

I finished watching The Queen's Gambit.  I enjoyed the stuff about chess - the drugs, drink and meaningless sex, not so much.  And at the end it felt like any other run of the mill damaged person comes good story.  The chess was just dressing to make it something New And Interesting.

The Rookie continues to entertain me despite being 'just another cop show' (my chat buddy's words).  I was disappointed that the big BLM story felt like jumping on the band wagon and now the 'bad' cop has been dealt with, everything's OK now...?  But they have actually addressed race issues in other ways.  And if Lopez is 14 weeks pregnant, she must have the pram in there as well...
