So, it's been one of those days when it feels like this morning happened yesterday - but I really haven't done very much.

Started with a bath because I'm on leave and I can do that. Of course, first of all I had to force myself to stay in bed an hour longer than usual. Why is it that I struggle to get up for work when my alarm goes off, but when I have the day all to myself, my brain wants to get up?!

After breakfast (sitting in the sun in the garden - love having green space), husband and I went for a walk. We went slowly, just out for a stroll. Picked up his prescription on the way past the chemist, then sat and chatted about the past in Falkner Square.

Falkner Square was built by Edward Falkner and was nicknamed Falkner's Folly because it was so far away from Liverpool's town centre - but then the town grew and joined up with it. I grew up in one of the houses in the square itself, converted into flats by then, and played and rode my bike around the park. It's one of those parks that would have been locked and only residents of the square would have had keys. You can almost hear the swish of fancy gowns and see the gentlemen touching their top hats to each other as they take a turn. It brings back so many memories.

When we got home, we had our dinner and then I came upstairs for an hour of Tunic. I've just started a new game and I'm following the walkthrough I found. I am also solving some of the door and join-the-dot puzzles as I come across them to save doing it later. I'm sure the guide will bring me back to them but I can just skip those bits. It is a HECK of a lot quicker with the guide, just because I'm not having to work out where to go next. I'm also getting a load of stuff I didn't get the first time around and I thought I'd poked around EVERYWHERE :D

Then I watched some Psych and edited a story, then went to join the boys to watch England being defeated by South Africa. It was close, in the end, but... no cigar! T20 is a great format. I know that test matches can end up as 'nail biters', and even end in a draw, but they take FIVE DAYS to get to that point. Only the British could create a game with actual meal breaks :D T20 condenses all of the excitement of the final couple of hours of the final day, and is very watchable.

After tea, husband went to bed early, so I watched the Friday Feature (7 games we can't wait for - some of them are on my list!), washed up, brought the washing in (I did washing, too - and hacked the ice out of the freezer, but that needs doing properly next time I have a longer break), then came back upstairs for another hour of Tunic and more Psych.

I was hoping today would be the day when I finally got a whole load of washing dried on the line - but despite it being warm and sunny ALL DAY, there were a couple of items that were a tiny bit damp.

This series of Psych (#4) is much more serious - all about 'grown-up' relationships. Shawn & Abi, Gus & Ruby, Juliet & Scott, Carlton & Victoria, Henry & Madeleine. Of course, there's still a LOT of nonsense going on, too! I keep meaning to look out for pineapples and forgetting - then I spot one and feel very impressed with myself :D

And now it's time to call today done.
