Chillin' and runnin'...

rosa_heartlilyDefeated the Act 3 boss quite quickly in the end, then spent an hour FAILING to negotiate a labyrinth whilst being pursued by molten lava. I've just watched another player do it on YouTube - in 90 seconds... When the mind and fingers are in sync, the game's mechanics are a lot of fun. And whilst you don't get a LOT of time, there is often enough to give each obstacle a couple of goes. But steer a millimetre off, or don't land exactly on what the game sees as 'rock' and it's right back to the start. I swear I'm going to be dreaming about the first 20 seconds because I must have done it 50 times! I watched the YT clip to see just how much of the labyrinth I had left, and it isn't much. The REALLY annoying thing is having to restart each time. I'm playing on 'Relaxed' for crying out loud - give me a couple of checkpoints!!!
I also got three episodes of Psych in, including a Christmas episode with a slightly different intro - there were snowflakes and decorations all over the screen. And I'm liking what they're doing with O'Hara. The first series she was the quiet girl sidekick but she's showing a much tougher side in the second; good work writers. I'm having fun spotting the guest stars, too.
Tomorrow is back to work. Not many meetings, but some biggies. I'm taking advantage of the white space to get my head around some stuff. I felt like I dropped the ball a couple of times last week and I hate that. There's never any need to feel like I'm twiddling my thumbs - always something I can be brushing up on. I'm a 'when I'm not in work, I'm not in work' person, but I can be guilty of not always being a 'when I'm in work, I'm in work' person. So, time to focus :)
And I get to catch up with a colleague who is always fun to talk to.
Daughter has put up a couple of videos of grandson #2. The first one has him chewing his toes :D The second one has him pointing to individual fingers on one hand as if he was counting them. I think we've got a little genius on our hands...
And grandson #1 is applying for an apprenticeship in digital engineering!
