Girding the loins...
Jan. 27th, 2025 09:43 pmI came upstairs a bit earlier than usual tonight, so I thought I'd get prepped for finishing Veilguard. I did the meeting with the gang, but there was no mention of speaking to Solas, which I found a bit odd. That took less than 30 minutes, so I went for a wander around the crossroads, which I haven't visited much. I found another chest and another wolf statue/altar/thingy, and bought some more mementos from the wispy merchants that allowed me to finish levelling the Caretaker's workshop. I took the other couple with me this time, which led to some... interesting... conversations... Back at the Lighthouse, I caught up with the companions, then maxed out everyone's equipment and added some enchantments, so we're as ready for the final battle as we'll ever be! And I added some scars to my Rook and gave her a more practical hairstyle. Next time - we FIGHT!
This time last year I was celebrating younger grandson's first birthday and older grandson passing his theory test, and enjoying Ratchet & Clank: Rifts Apart - which was a really fun game.
Today, I finally got the project board report finished off - now I just need to add it to the library... Although I can make it available to people, whenever they need it. The important thing is that I don't need to ask the placement student every time I want to change the colour of something, or move a box. I have some ideas for other reports, too, but I think that's a job for next week.
I also read about a PM methodology called Half Balance, which focusses on the impact of a project. There were some interesting looking templates (I LOVE a good template), which I will investigate properly another time.
And I've had THOUGHTS about the changes to the PMF. I feel like we're in danger of spinning out the first stage again, when the whole point of the previous set of changes was to make it short and snappy! I shall see what LM thinks, tomorrow. Of course, the new plan has come from above, so we may need to live with it, at least in the short term.
Oh, and I'm pulling in another character to my Nova-world. She's a person from 'our world' who finds a door that lets her into Nova's - but finds herself trapped there. I may tell the story from her POV.
And that's all for today.
