Feb. 6th, 2021 08:18 amIt feels like a long time since I was last here. Is it really only a week?
I'm thinking about ways to manage RAIDs at work. The 'standard' one really irritates me and I'm wondering if we can suggest our own to replace it? Or whether we just use a different one...? I mean, it's not drastically different but the differences are important - to me. Maybe no-one else will care. At the very least, I want all the PMs to use the RAID template and not just their own risk log.
Investigated the line break thing in MS Forms and found that there isn't a fix at the moment. It is possible to force them back in if you're migrating it into SharePoint, which I'm not. I left comments on the two threads I was directed to - but I was only the third person in 2 years - don't think MS are going to make it a priority!
Next week is remarkably meeting-free, so I'm going to put some real time into investigating MS Project Online. It LOOKS great - but I suspect there's a lot of set up to make it work smoothly. And we do have our processes working fine at the moment, including publishing the dashboard - it's fiddly but I know what I'm looking for, now. MSPO includes document storage, but we're quite happily using Teams, now, and I don't want to disrupt that. AND it requires everyone using it to have a separate license. So, it's over to YouTube to see what I can make of it.
On Tuesday, the person who hosts the Zoom meetings for ToG called me and asked if I could host it as they had to go to the doctor. 'Fine!' I said. So, about an hour before ToG was due to start, I joined the meeting and became the host and the other person left. 40 minutes later... it timed out. So, I created a Zoom account, created a meeting, and sent out an email to everyone HOPING that they'd read it in time. And everyone made it - eventually!
And I got my arse into gear enough to send mother and step-father an anniversary card and box of chocolates.
And today is the usual round of cleaning, shopping and gaming :D See you next week, DW!
