Lazy Sunday
The Open Table service this morning was a great experience. W talked about sainthood and read out a couple of examples of 'unusual' saints - the patron saint of people going off in a huff and the patron saint of forgetfulness!
I've just had a couple of hours playing Primal, which I think is going to take a bit longer than I expected. I've also had to use a GameFAQ walkthrough a couple of times. Once was to find an exit that was actually pretty easy to find - doh! - and one was to make a hole in a floor, which I suppose I must have worked out for myself back in the day, though I'm not sure how. The fight controls are a bit weird (to me, at least!) because you have to use the shoulder buttons; I keep hitting X and getting hit by the enemies :D :D :D. I am making progress, overall, though. There are a few fun glitches. The scenery disappeared completely at one point and Scree has just been running around in mid-air; a neat trick but not very helpful to getting Jen into the tower!
Last night, the husband and I decided to tackle the chest freezer. We threw out a load of stuff we either couldn't identify or that was never going to be eaten, and I hacked out the very thick ice around the sides - which seemed like a good idea when I started but seemed less so about half-way through ROFL. Anyway, the freezer is now much more presentable and there is room between the food and the lid!
The clocks went back last night and, at 4.30pm-ish, the sun is already clearly going down. I really wish we would stop changing the clocks and stick to GMT - OR BST and have lighter evenings. In our 24-hour world, do we really need this any more?
The week ahead is planned as follows:
