There's this ripple effect, isn't there? On-line relationships (obviously) have a different dynamic to real life ones - but they still impact on us. I've shed tears for people I've never actually met, and their words (even as 'text only') have provided comfort to me.
I joined Choco Boko Booyaka in late 2001 (maybe early 2002) and I think I was the oldest person there! I certainly felt I was. But I learned so much from the young 'uns about the internet and what was possible - IM, LJ, ff.net. Yeah - I also learned how to speak in initials (LOL!).
I'm only in touch with 3 people, now, but it's been a privilege to continue to be part of your lives - how ever small that part is.
