Round up
So, it's been a while since I wrote about Life rather than Death, so here goes.
I've edited up to the start of Chapter 9 of the novel. This is still quite a creative process because I'm filling in some of the blanks I left when I originally wrote it. I've also made some changes to the story, the most dramatic of which was flipping two of the chapters, which required keeping track of what should be where. It's still an interesting journey, and I'm still enjoying the process. I'm aiming to finish the first pass by the end of June, then I can go back and address my beta reader's questions!
I'm still playing H:ZD and enjoying it. Hooray for Story Mode! I'm sure there are aspects of the game that I'm not getting the most out of but I am making progress, which is the main thing. I remember that the second DLC for Witcher 3 - Blood and Wine - really made me learn to play the game, using the potions and bombs to better effect. But I needed to play the whole of the main game to learn the basics, like fighting and dodging and so on. I have the DLC for H:ZD - Frozen Wilds - so we'll see how that goes. Between editing and the semi-finals of Britain's Got Talent - don't judge me! - I'm only getting to play at weekends at the moment, but that's OK. I'm approaching the half-way point of the story (43% complete), which still feels very quick.
It's a slow week at work but I'm using the time to explore the functions of a project management office. If that is the role the boss has in mind, I want to know as much about it as I can. I do also want to make progress towards becoming a 'real' PM, but I think that's a conversation for my PDPR.
Otherwise, life continues.
