A good Saturday
This time last year I was enjoying games, and enjoying other people enjoying games, and looking forward to the long weekend.
Today was pretty much a normal Saturday, with cleaning and gaming. It has done me the world of good.
After traipsing all over as much of the Continent as I could reach in an attempt to find my way to the next area, I spotted the way to go... It was even more obvious than the last place I got 'lost'. Doh! I solved a tricksy maze and learned more about nevrons. And I also learned more about Verso... but got more confused about Maelle. Sciel played diplomat and found a new rock for Esquie. Then I got confused between East and West (double doh!), but I'm now digging around with jolly enemies and weird faces. And I forgot how to counter the big attacks, so I had to keep hitting random buttons until one worked. For some reason, this mechanic is not included in the glossary thingy. But when this game is good, it is SO GOOD!
I discovered there's a free DLC for Sea of Stars, so I've added it to my library. I hope I don't need to replay the whole game to remember the controls! But I think that might be my next thing to play.
I've just watched the first part of the series finale of Doctor Who. It was good to see Ruby get an actual role to play! If only they'd done more of that in the last series... Archie Panjabi is so good as The Rani - but what's the point of Mrs Flood, now? Great concept that people with disabilities are completely overlooked, which leaves them free to act. But Ruby shouldn't be the only able-bodied person who is questioning things - although I suppose it's her experience in the TARDIS that leaves her mind more open - but shouldn't Mel's be, too? Anyway, a lot of loose ends for them to tie up next week! But 'Omega' makes me think of a certain superboss in Ulti's castle...
Oh, I also watched a video about superbosses from FF Union :D
