I had plans...
You know when you have your evening planned out and then other people want something from you and suddenly it's all gone to pot? Not that the boys wanted anything bad - and not that I can't still do what I wanted - just that it reminded me that I'm not in this life alone :D

I met Virginia Hey (Zhaan's actress) at a very intimate science fiction convention. She was absolutely lovely, and I got the chance to sit with her and 3 other fans, just chatting outside on a lovely spring day as we waited for the venue to open for her event. I don't remember much of what we talked about, because this was about 15 years ago, but the memory of sitting on that bench is burned into my brain.
